Journalist Julie receives anonymous letters in the mail threatening to shoot her. At the same time, someone starts killing the women in the group therapy sessions she attends. Julie's family convinces her that there is no connection between the incidents, and that the letters are just someone's bad joke. However, the woman begins to suspect everyone: her psychologist Peter, who was intimate with all the murdered women; Allison, Peter's daughter, who discovered that her father and Julie were having an affair; her ex-husband Doug, who did not want a divorce; and others.
