Film Description
Evelyn's life is a mess. She can't get her tax report together, her elderly father constantly demands attention, her husband is in the clouds, and her daughter has brought her girlfriend to meet the family. During her visit to the IRS, things get even more complicated - it turns out that Evelyn can jump through parallel universes and access the memories and skills of other versions of herself. And now, in complete chaos, the woman will have to confront a mysterious evil entity that has decided to destroy not only this world, but the entire multiverse.

Well, without any intrigue or subplots from afar, congratulations to the world on the new, modern Matrix of our time. I hope this movie doesn't go unnoticed. For it is a must-see!
The beginning is viscous and boring, with a Chinese flavor as well. Not everyone will be able to endure it. But after half an hour, it will be...
Everything, everywhere and at once - it's a unique, topical and modern mix of all possible best ideas of cinematography of the last decades. Judge for yourself. It's a perfect mix: Matrix of the first parts - the fights and the method of ideas and thoughts, Kill Bill - the references, the mood and style, the Butterfly Effect - the idea and the consequences of actions, Doctor Strange and Marvel with their theme, and even Sailor Moon - but the original first seasons of the 90's, the ending of each of the first three seasons - its lyrics and the message to the spectator, the moral. And even a little bit of the ending of Arrival fit in here, too, with its versatility and non-linearity of what's going on.
By the middle of the film, you're sitting in the audience and just constantly wondering. How does this fairly low-budget movie with little-known mostly actors do THAT. Director-writers Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert have done something incredible. You know, that rare case in modern cinema where the script was written. Then they reread it. And then reread and corrected several more times. And this is evident in the folding of the story and the very cleverly twisted plot. It's not linear. It is versatile, broken and varied. It's cautionary, lyrical, but also unbelievable and fantastic. The dynamics from the middle of the film are powerful. Interesting philosophy is constantly diluted with the coolest fights and great staging. The mood changes radically over the course of the film from black to white and back to green. And it's fascinating as hell to watch, and the closer you get to the end, the more exciting it gets. Yes, there's even that hidden ending effect that I love and rarely see in movies. When you think that's all, the credits roll, but no, you get another hour of action from this very moment, it was a trick, you jumped out of your chair early.
Special praise goes to Michelle Yeoh, the main character who somehow or other appeared in many popular movies, but was never remembered by the audience. Here is her real benefit. The lady is about 60 years old, but she hardly looks 40. She is a real hottie on the screen.
In general, if you want to see a very unusual, peculiar, but wildly interesting movie - run to theaters, the film is already in theaters. A generous 10 from me, although there are a few scenes in the film that sag in terms of dynamics. But everything else is too coolly done. I can't tell you more, otherwise spoilers will flood in.
