4k movies reviews
The great Stanley Kubrick filmed one of the greatest, if not the greatest, comedy in history at a time when the nuclear conflict was not something fabulous and unimaginable. Cold war A little over a year has passed since the Caribbean crisis. And then the most anti-American and most anti-Soviet film appears.

The most "anti" in general, because, then still young, old Kubrick ridiculed everything that was possible. First of all, war, as such, all values taken together, a bureaucratic system, double standards, love ... All this Stanley subjected to cynical analysis, showing that the person remained an animal.

In general, his films are cruel, although at first glance they may not seem so.

A good comedy is always a laugh with tears in your eyes. So here, after an hour and a half of laughter, there is some disappointment, from the understanding that everything is really so. Kubrick puts people in critical circumstances and reveals their true face. And the faces here are the most suitable. Sick military, weak-willed presidents. Limp military and sick presidents. Civilians who do not understand what is happening at all.

When Ronald Reagan became president of the United States, he asked me to show him "the very room with the map in the lights." And the US Air Force seriously suspected Kubrick of espionage, so reliably he managed to show weapons.

The film has long become a classic, the tricks used by Kubrick have become overwritten with stamps, the characters have become types. There is no need to talk about technical components; this is always on top at the master.

Separately, it is worth highlighting the ending, that's how it will end.

I would like to hope that the modern leaders of both states watched this film in childhood or later, because now it is more relevant than ever.
