Film Description
A secret government agency recruits some of the most dangerous incarcerated super-villains to form a defensive task force. Their first mission: save the world from the apocalypse.

Storyline
It feels good to be bad...Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

4k movies reviews
After Superman disappears, the United States needs someone to protect the country from the danger of extraterrestrial origin. The government decides to create a detachment of especially dangerous criminals, who, if something happens, can be spent. The first mission does not keep itself waiting long - the ancient god awakens from sleep and does not think of anything better how to try to enslave humanity.

What is happening with the DC MCU is somewhat completely illogical. The film about superheroes doing good turns out to be gloomy, heavy, with an oppressive atmosphere and a decisive absence of bright colors and at least some hint of humor. But when inveterate villains are in the center of the story, it plays with completely different colors. David Eyre's Suicide Squad is the exact opposite of Batman v Superman, with whom he shares the same universe. This is a bright and light movie, in which there is practically no room for deliberate pathos, but full of fooling around and jokes.

Unexpectedly, this is also due to the fact that Eyre made a name for himself on projects of a completely different kind. 'Training Day', 'Sabotage', 'Rage' are tough male dramas that fit harmoniously into the concept of DC comic book adaptations. But Suicide Squad breaks the mold of Air's sullen directorial (and scriptwriting) style, as it is a frivolous booth, generously seasoned with the roar of gunfire and explosions. And this does not at all make it worse than its predecessors - it just makes it clear that DC is ready to experiment and work in different planes.

Forget about deep dialogues and carefully constructed phrases - the local heroes exchange a couple of sentences, which are often not even very necessary. Everything you need to know about them is presented without any elegance - in the form of flashbacks, but this scheme works effectively and gives the film lightness without distracting from the main storyline. That, however, is as simple as two fingers - the heroes are represented, the heroes are sent to the battlefield, the heroes fight.

You can talk about the characters for a long time, but it's better to look all the same. Eyre's villains turned out to be far from ultimatum and hardly arouse disgust and hatred - at times they look more human than the reference 'good guys'. Will Smith, even in a relative lack of fish, manages to remind that he is a good actor. Margot Robbie desperately overestimates, but this is what is required of her - complete with very short shorts. Jai Courtney casually throws away the cross put on him as an artist, and Viola Davis with just one glance reminds her that she was twice nominated for an Oscar. The rest of the squad members remain in the background, but periodically remind of themselves, showing off either a disgusting appearance or spectacular superpowers. Oh yes, there is also the Joker.

Mr. Jay in Suicide Squad is nothing more than a bonus and the opportunity to bring to the big screen a new interpretation of Batman's eternal rival. Green-haired Jared Leto appeared on the covers of glossy magazines and in numerous trailers and TV spots much more often than in the film itself. The impression from his Joker is mixed. It makes no sense to compare him with the heroes of Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger - the type is completely different. Joker Leto is a giggling tattooed criminal, a complete psycho, who for some reason looks much more frightening in the photo than in dynamics. Surprisingly, he claims to be the main disappointment of the 'Suicide Squad', although there is a worthy competitor - the very evil against which the mission is directed. The threat is not so much far-fetched as it is trivial and dubiously argued - it will do just that, but it could have been better.

Suicide Squad can be blamed for a fair amount of stupidity - hardly anyone would argue. But the lack of intelligence is more than compensated for by the next DC project with surging energy, cheerfulness and eccentricity in everything - from acting images to a soundtrack consisting of ageless hits, which is not very appropriate, but so recognizable. Air's film also looks like a black sheep in its genre, but not timid and unsightly, but impudent and impudent.
