Film Description
Due to global warming, the Human Survival Project was launched in 2063. A group of children was grown in test tubes from biomaterial from specially selected donors. They did not leave the walls of the laboratory - they lived there and studied under tireless supervision, so as not to get used to sunlight and open spaces. While still young people, they go on a journey to a distant planet suitable for life, but their grandchildren will reach there at best. Soon, friends Zach and Christopher find out that the vitamin drink, which the entire team, with the exception of the accompanying adult, takes every day, contains a substance that makes them calm and obedient.

4k movies reviews
I like the science fiction genre, and especially those films in which we are shown long flights into distant space, where we can find answers to many questions of interest to us regarding the structure of the Universe, the possibility of life on other planets and other fascinating nuances that modern science has so far cannot give exact answers. Of course, the abundance of movie comics has practically displaced traditional science fiction on the periphery of the entertainment industry, but I am glad in detail that sometimes films such as "Generation Voyager" appear in the box office, and they have something to please their grateful viewer.

The film itself tells us about a group of young people, led by the scientist Richard into distant space for the survival of mankind. They were born in the laboratory. They never had any family, and they did not even suspect what love and other feelings inherent in an ordinary person are. Children were brought up in such conditions only because they should become a completely new generation of people, devoid of vices and moving our species forward, to new achievements and discoveries.

To maintain discipline and order, scientists force the children to drink a bluish liquid every day. Young people themselves, for the time being, do not know what exactly they are taking. It turns out that this very drug extinguishes almost all feelings, emotions, aspirations and desires that can harm the general order. But the system still crashes, and here the fun begins.

Everyone understands perfectly well that it is very difficult to fly to the nearest habitable planet. And not only technically, but also morally. People tend to make bad decisions, panic, and jeopardize their tasks. The best minds of mankind still cannot come to the only correct solution that can solve this issue, and Neil Berger in this film sets out his special considerations on this matter.

The film clearly explains why it is not necessary to fully extinguish human nature. Our genome has been developed for millions of years, and if you take and suppress emotions, feelings and even thoughts, nothing good will come of it. Our nature will find a way out in any situation, no drugs will drown it to the end. On the contrary, you can only make things worse, which we see in the example of our heroes.

But if the same Christopher is still able to fight desires, then Zack is not going to pacify himself. His philosophy is simple - why limit yourself, if all of us will soon die equally. Of course, this philosophy deserves the right to life, but you should not drive with preliminary conclusions. Berger still has a lot of interesting things in store for us, you can believe me.

The film turned out to be truly worthy. I believe that he deserves to be watched by the audience and delivered their fair verdict. I love how science fiction brings very complex topics to the surface and plays them competently. In this regard, I will definitely remember the Voyager Generation for a long time.
