Gangster Buddy Israel agrees to cooperate with the FBI and testify against his Mafia cronies. A large reward of a million dollars is set for his life by a mob boss, and Buddy is in real danger of losing his life before the trial even begins.

Protection of Israel is entrusted to two agents of the FBI - Messner and Carruthers, who have a difficult task to protect an important witness from hired killers.
