4k movies reviews
After the good box office success of the first part, director Len Wiseman takes on a full-fledged sequel, thereby expanding the universe of the franchise. Underworld 2: Evolution continues to delve deeper into the origins of this entire story, which begins several centuries ago. However, the plot itself takes place today, exactly after the events of the first part. Michael and Celine escape from the vampire castle and try to wake up Marcus, one of the primeval vampires.

Despite the fact that, in my opinion, the second part is still a little weaker than the first in the plot, it looks with the same interest. The writers get the story right. And although by the middle you already roughly guess what will happen next, the plot is still interesting to follow. In addition, in this film, the creators have finally put an end to the relationship between Celine and Michael.

Since the creators of the sequel were the same as the original, the film looks like the second half of the first. The same actors, absolutely the same style - this cannot but rejoice. But something has certainly changed. Namely, the fights became even more spectacular. If in the first part of the action there was not enough polish, then everything here is just wonderful. Incredibly well-chosen angles, super-spectacular shootouts and fights with time dilation. The style of the action is the same as in the first part, only here it became more brutal and clear. Some scenes from their spectacle even want to rewind. This is especially true for the final episodes.

The cast in the film is the same as in the original. The actors play in about the same way, so there are no complaints about this. The only negative that I would like to note: the lack of catchy music. A franchisee of this level would do well to have their own original melody with them. But alas. Of course, there is music here, but it is absolutely not memorable, and after watching it, there is no question of downloading the soundtrack.
