While Matteo is taking his exams, his girlfriend Carla goes to London to look for a suitable apartment for herself and her lover. At an estate agency she meets Moira, a glamorous girl with whom she begins an affair. Meanwhile, Matteo chews on the granite of science and dreams of his girlfriend. The news that Carla has had an affair with a woman spurs his jealousy, and the accidentally discovered love letters and a rather explicit photograph hint unmistakably at her affairs with a Frenchman. Furious, Matteo travels to London to confront his frivolous girlfriend.
