4k movies reviews
The usual British salesman, Greville Wynn, is invited to a super-secret meeting by real spies. They ask the man to cooperate with them as their agent in Russia. The businessman is very surprised, because he knows absolutely nothing in these matters and has no experience. But nevertheless, the government needs him - so inconspicuous and suspicious, because, according to experts, the KGB will definitely not pay attention to such a thing, and he will be able to calmly find out the necessary information and conduct clandestine activities. Now Greville will have to go to Moscow on a special mission. Although his loved ones are very worried, he can no longer refuse. In Russia, Russian Colonel Oleg Penkovsky goes to Wynn, they agree on cooperation. At his own peril and risk, the British spy departs from the strict instructions of the "superiors" and begins to play his game. But what are the consequences of such a seemingly harmless "friendship" ...

First of all, I would like to note the cast. Benedict Camberbatch is gorgeous as always in his timeless image of a classic Briton. I think no one would have approached this role better than him. Merab Ninidze also played his role well. He added a lot of mystery to the overall atmosphere of the film. In general, I was very flattered that there are so many Russian actors playing here. But in general, this is understandable: real Russians are needed to reproduce our culture and mentality. This is as necessary as Camberbatch for the role of the Englishman. In fact, the creators managed to convey this special spirit, for which they have great respect. Well, the actors, of course, also respect!

It's hard for me to describe in words how interesting the plot was. Although I'm not a fan of thrillers and action movies, this one is special! I think that the writer of the script worked out the idea very carefully and approached the processing of real facts responsibly. Because, as for me, everything looked very realistic. Moreover, in two hours of the film, so many things happen that I'm just shocked. And at the same time, everything is laconic and not too confusing. I was amazed at how immersive the film is. Well, there was not a single moment when one could get bored. Every movement, every phrase meant something and were important for the plot. Therefore, nothing could be missed! And this is just a huge plus of the film: everything is so thought out and interconnected that it is unrealistic to come off.

I strongly advise everyone to watch The Spy Games. It's just a work of art: the film is historically accurate, entertaining and tasty at the same time. The picture is insanely beautiful with the characteristic attractive appearances of the actors and London and Moscow of the 60s. And the atmosphere of danger makes you even more immersed in history. In general, when viewing, you get a real aesthetic pleasure. In my opinion, a really worthy movie!
