A dark, austere and very close to the original adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The plot and psychological background correspond to feudal Japan. The brave samurai Washizu and his wife, the cruel Lady Asaji, driven by inhuman ambition and inspired by a witch's prophecy, kill their warlord and seize power in the kingdom.
