I Walked with a Zombie 4K 1943

The plot shifts Charlotte Bronte's classic novel “Jan Eyre” to West India. Young nanny Betsy Connell (Dee) discovers that a sorcerer has turned her master's wife into a living corpse. The heroine cannot resist the exquisite allure of the atmosphere of the supernatural and tries to understand the culture of the natives, who in other movies would seem superstitious. Here, however, it turns out that they are more in tune with what is going on than any of the white protagonists.
