Film Description
When the coffin containing the body of soldier Sam Harper, who died in Operation Desert Storm, is brought to his hometown, none of the countrymen expresses much grief except for his nephew, nine-year-old Jody, who worships his Uncle Sam as a hero.
Love does its work. On Independence Day, the hero's corpse comes to life, and mercilessly takes revenge on anyone who behaves unpatriotically...
4k movies reviews
Having already celebrated Halloween (October 31) and April Fool's Day (April 1), American horror-makers, like true patriots, did not ignore the main national holiday - the U.S. Independence Day (July 4), having dedicated to it a good (although low-budget) slasher "Uncle Sam". By the way, the title of the movie is not only the name of the main "hero" (a reanimated corpse of a sadistic soldier), but also a personified image of the United States of America: United States - Uncle Sam.
For me, soldier-killer Sam Harper conjures up enduring associations with another crazy (probably pre-war) soldier who also came back from the dead, the unforgettable Sergeant Andrew Scott from Universal Soldier. Paranoid Scott saw traitors everywhere, sadistic Harper just liked to kill. And the result was the same: piles of corpses. Why? Why?
Among the murders committed by the zombie patriot in the Uncle Sam suit (guess where he got it), there are the usual ones (decapitation, headshot) and the memorable ones - hanging on the flag's place (who saw it, you'll understand), burning with fireworks. The image of the killer himself - stylish and sinister, dark and vivid - is memorable.
Still, zombies and androids are fiction, but the real-life prototypes of Sergeant Scott and Staff Sergeant Harper may now be "training" on their young colleagues somewhere.
Finally, I would like to apologize for the mediocre poetry with which I am going to end this review (although it is not much better than these poems). I can't write poetry, and it's impossible to learn - you need an innate talent for that. I just wanted to make the review stand out.
