Howard's appearance on Earth was the result of an experiment conducted by earth scientists. Howard was "pulled" out of the familiar world by a laser beam directed by scientists to his planet. On Earth, Howard discovers many pleasant things.

He drinks beer, always walks with a cigar clamped in his beak, he meets rockers, the young soloist of the rock band Beverly Schwitzler becomes Howard's girlfriend. But one day a very unpleasant alien creature enters the Earth through a laser beam. The appearance of the second alien spoils Howard's life.
