Never have I enjoyed an action-anime this much. It is light-years ahead of the shoddy 2021 live action movie. This is what the movie should have been. All your favorite Mortal Kombat characters are here and each one has its unique personality.

The title of the animated movie fits the plot: it's a doe-or-die battle for the Earth realm. All the contestants have been chosen and it's up to the Earth heroes to save the day from the forces of Shao Khan and his henchmen.

I really loved the script, the comedy and action elements. This is Mortal Kombat so there is definitely gore in this one and I would only recommend it for eighteen and up because of the graphic scenes.

My favorite Johnny Cage is in this one, Lord Raiden, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Sonya and Jax, accompanied by Sub-Zero and Scorpion.
