Film Description
It's been two years since a team of superfighters led by Cloud Strife saved the world from the nightmarish villain Sephiroth. Peace came, and the mighty Cloud retired, settling in an orphanage to forget about the bloody battles of the past among the children.

But he only dreams of peace: the inhabitants of the planet begin to be struck by a strange disease, and a mysterious stranger named Kadaj appears in the vicinity, clearly plotting something bad. And his unkind plans are somehow connected with defenseless orphans.

4k movies reviews
People who are at least a little fond of playing computer and video games probably know what "Final Fantasy" is. The franchise has been living and successfully flourishing for more than a decade. Over the years, numerous versions and portions of the game have been released on various gaming systems. Square has already attempted to bring the game to the movie screen. In 2001, "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" was born. The film shook the imagination with incredibly high-quality graphics, but was coolly received by both viewers and critics. But in Square, the idea of transferring the computer world to the cinematic world was not thrown into a distant box, but after carrying out demonstrative work on the errors, they returned with a new creation, taking Final Fantasy VII as the basis.

The film was made with a clear focus on people familiar (or rather, very well acquainted) with the original source. Therefore, do not be surprised when more and more new characters appear out of nowhere, some events and names will be called. At the same time, no one bothers to explain at least something. One gets the impression that Square at one time forgot to make the fifth disc for the game. And now, after so many years, they woke up, and an add-on appeared.

However, all these plot oddities did not prevent me from watching the film exactly three times, and only then go surfing the endless ocean of the Internet in search of explanations and explanations. Why? It's simple: we have before us a frequently encountered case of the predominance of form over content, and at the same time we have a rare case of the predominance of form over content, when, frankly, the plot does not give a damn.

From the first frames, the film strikes the imagination with the quality of the graphics. To say that everything is done beautifully is to say nothing. Here you can look at each frame for hours; you can watch a movie using only the freeze-frame function, because you cannot take your eyes off such beauty. No words can describe the splendid color feast in front of us. You need to see it. And when you see it, look many, many times.

Having shown itself, the film does not give the viewer a second to come to his senses, immediately throwing the latter into adrenaline action. Oh action! There is so much drive here that you can hardly imagine how it was possible to pack so much quality action into one film. Energy gushes over the edge. The action-energy will be enough for several films of Wu, Bay, Scott combined. And the same amount will remain. If in the first half the authors still provide room for dialogues, then in the second half the action scenes will follow one after the other. Surprisingly, this state of affairs is not only not annoying, but on the contrary: the brain, wild from the riot of colors and actions, requires the continuation of the banquet.

What should certainly accompany the most hurricane action? That's right - no less dynamic music. Nobuo Uematsu did a tremendous job, and the result exceeded all expectations: it is simply impossible to imagine any other music in the film. There are a lot of styles and trends here: from calm classical motives to gear-crushing electronics.

A triple punch in the face of graphics, action and music sends viewers to such a deep knockout, from which you will be able to recover very soon.

Square has done exemplary bug fixing. Rightly judging that there was no need to reinvent the wheel, they made a film that was one hundred and twenty-five percent geared towards the fans of the series. And Square was right. There are an incredible amount of FF fans in the world. The film will definitely find its audience. But what is there - he has already found: it is enough to read the reviews on imdb, not to mention the fansites dedicated to the world of "Final Fantasy".

What about an untrained viewer? There is no single answer to this question. Most likely, many will say that the film lacks at least some plot and absolutely nothing is clear. I do not know. I watched this movie, knowing almost nothing about the intricacies of the plot, and received unspeakable pleasure.

Total: fans of Final Fantasy must watch. I also advise everyone else to watch this creation because of the beautiful graphics, tearing down the tower of action and killer music.
