Dark City 4K 1998 Director's Cut
In the Dark City, endless night reigns, and the sun never appears in the sky. When midnight strikes, the Wanderers stop time to change the architectural appearance of the city and interfere with the memories of sleeping people. Hardly any ordinary mortal knows that the Wanderers are actually the last representatives of a dying alien race with psychokinetic abilities who have taken over the bodies of dead Earthlings. They have pale skin and are naturally incapable of intimate relationships. The Wanderers conduct experiments on humans to uncover the secret of the human soul and thereby prolong their own existence. They replace some memories with others and destroy what is not beneficial to them in human memory... Waking up in a hotel room with no memory, John Murdoch discovers the mutilated corpse of a naked woman in the next room and soon learns that he is suspected of a series of brutal, perverted murders. Hiding from the police, John encounters the Wanderers. Trying to piece together the chain of events, he begins to understand that the entire city is under their strange, invisible power...
