At a party celebrating young Ben's graduation from college, the guest of honor leaves in the company of his father's business partner's wife, Mrs. Robinson. Tormented by her unhappy personal life, the woman seduces the young man, who becomes her lover. But Ben's heart belongs to Elaine, her daughter, whom his domineering partner forbids him to see for fear of revealing their secret.
