Humanity’s first colonized planet is Eden. Master Pilot Isamu Dyson has been assigned to New Edwards Flight Center as a test pilot for the YF-19 variable-configuration fighter prototype. Also stationed there is YF-21 pilot Gould Goa Bowman. Once friends, now rivals, the two compete in testing the prototype. Meanwhile, virtual singer Sharon Apple has arrived on Eden to perform a concert. Her producer, Myung Fan Long, is a former friend of both pilots.
