The Bad Guys 4K 2022

The world has never seen such skillful adventurers: the dexterous pickpocket Mr. Wolf, the skilled safecracker Mr. Snake, the cold-blooded master of disguise Mr. Shark, the flashy and muscular Mr. Piranha, and the witty top-class hacker Miss Tarantula. However, even the smartest criminals sometimes make mistakes. In order to save himself from jail, gang leader Mr. Wolf is forced to go to extreme measures: the "Bad Guys" must change for the better. Or pretend to? But when a new villain threatens the town, can Mr. Wolf convince the others to really become... good guys?

How wonderful it is. Sitting in a café in the morning, where you are welcome and leave a tip. And right across the street is your fickle but lucrative job. Except that the characters in the cartoon are not hard workers. They - burglars! Most, that is, the most thorough outcasts of society. So they do not regret that they can get into the Louvre and replace the Mona Lisa. Or accidentally eat a bunch of guinea pigs. But their leader, Mr. Wolf, has new feelings he hasn't had before.

Wolf will have to decide what's more bad or good in him. And most importantly, how not to let his friends, who have become his family.

Actors: The film touches on the idea of 'Mad Dogs' calling each other by their nicknames rather than their names.

Mr. Wolf - Sam Rockwell seems to have found his 'self' in this computer animated film. His character will wonder what he is ready to do, to do good deeds. And whether it will backfire on him, given that the heroes at his mercy went to another untested operation. In the end, his luck may not be the only one to turn around.

Hey, you! Come closer. You don't want to? Oh, I see what this is about. Scared of the big, scary Wolf!

Mr. Snake - despite Mark Marron's voiceover, I wanted to listen to Bashkatov's voice. Why? I, as a viewer, was tired of seeing him in the roles of the protagonists. And it's interesting to observe, on the other side of the coin. Mr. Serpent is a good hack from a brutal guinea pig lover. At times he reminded me of Kaa from Disney's 'Jungle Book'.

If Tarantino's is all boys, there's room for girls. Miss Tarantula is a great hacker. No problem will also be the original head brogue (Mr. Shark Craig Robinson). For the second time, Aquafina manages to get caught up in thievery. True, this time among thieves, not thieves.

And finally the favorite, Mr. Fart. Oh, Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos) who develops a, ahem... reflex to lie. A kind of Pinocchio in reverse. His character's fighting skills are perfectly honed.

Everything else: Ethan Cohen co-wrote the script with Hilary Winston, based on the children's short story 'Bad Boys' by Aaron Blaby. The cartoon is suitable for family viewing and good instruction for children. Pierre Perifil's film gets along fine with anthropomorphic animals (despite the fact that most of them are sea creatures), and humans. However, at times you try to understand how it could be that this 'wolf pack' is together with humans. Perhaps because of respect for the different races, people have changed the attitude towards the smaller brothers. So they came out to the humans! But, these five scoundrels (whom Diane Foxington has belted out) are not likely to be welcomed by anyone. Or maybe they've got a chance to get it right after all. Thank goodness Billie Eilish only managed to torture her 'Bad Guy' track in the trailer. By the way, Anthony Ramos (aka Mr. Piranha) co-stars with Will Wells on 'Good Tonight', written by Gary Forward and Pemberton.

Impressions: swashbuckling, funny with a borrowed style from the Ocean's Friends movies. And with paraphrased names in the spirit of Tarantino's 'Dogs' is no longer new (as there is a Taika Waititi series 'Dogs of the Reservation' with the same names). But, these characters don't need code names. Because they are family and know each other well.
