Dead Man 4K 1995
The ambitious young man William Blake arrives from Cleveland to the City of Machines, where he has been offered a job as an accountant. Upon arrival, he learns that he is too late—another person has been hired for the position. In despair, William Blake goes to a local bar, where he meets Tell, a former prostitute and now a paper flower seller, and spends the night at her place. Suddenly, her former fiancé arrives and starts a fight, during which he and Tell are killed, and Blake is wounded.
Blake is blamed for the deaths of Tell and her fiancé, the son of Mr. Dickinson, who is the owner of the City of Machines. William flees to the forest, where he is found by Nobody, a Native American hermit. He mistakes the wounded young man for the incarnation of the English poet William Blake and decides to help him depart honorably to the spirit world. Hired assassins are sent to find Blake, but they are powerless against the seemingly helpless accountant: you cannot kill someone who is already dead.
