Pharaoh 4K 1966

A tense battle ensues between Pharaoh Ramses XIII and High Priest Herhor. It all began long before Ramses became pharaoh. The priests interfered with the young commander in everything: his personal life, his attachments, his military plans.

After his father's death, Ramses ascended the throne with faith in life and a thirst for renewal. The young ruler believed that he could lift the state out of decline, ease the plight of the common people, and change the established order of things. But accompanied by treacherous conspiracies and betrayals, Ramses XIII's confrontation with the powerful caste of priests, who remove from their path anyone who tries to penetrate the sacred mysteries and, even more so, to interfere with them, ends in defeat for the young pharaoh.
