Ethnologist Stevenson, desperate to obtain permission for an expedition to the Marabat jungle in New Guinea, sets off there illegally. His goal is to find the Puko tribe of cannibals, which many scientists believe to be extinct. The professor disappears without a trace.
His wife Susan and her brother Arthur try to find the scientist. Local authorities fear the cursed place like fire. The brave travelers will have to rely only on luck and the professional jungle expert Edward Foster.
