The Man in the White Suit 4K 1951
Moving from one textile factory to another, holding minor positions, the former Cambridge graduate continues his experiments to create a miracle fabric. Each time, the experiments end with his dismissal, and only at the Burnley factory does the owner's daughter take him under her wing. He puts an end to his experiments and creates a synthetic fabric that is resistant to wear and tear and dirt. As soon as they learn about this, factory owners and trade unions join forces for the first time in history to neutralize the inventor, who is threatening the entire textile industry. First, the inventor, dressed in a snow-white, sparkling, and immaculate suit made of his own fabric, is captured by the textile magnates. Daphne Burnley helps him escape. Then he falls into the hands of union representatives, but slips away from them as well. His pursuers chase after the inventor and soon catch up with him again, and he is already preparing to experience the most unpleasant quarter of an hour of his life, but then his enemies, greedily clinging to him, notice that the miracle suit is falling apart like cotton wool. Peace and balance reign once again in the textile industry. At least until the young man perfects his invention.
