Film Description

Like other episodes of “Monty Python,” the film is a collection of sketches, surreal and humorous scenes, and exaggerated caricatures, loosely connected by a single narrative thread. This time, the film takes liberties with the characters of the New Testament, offering satirical commentary throughout the story. In a futile attempt to avoid accusations of blasphemy, the film nearly remained unfinished and was released only thanks to financial support from former Beatle George Harrison.
