Nacho Libre 4K 2006
Ignacio (Jack Black) was raised in a monastery in Mexico from birth. Kind, open-hearted, and endlessly loving toward other orphans like himself, Ignacio is a monk and cook who prepares meals for the monks and orphans. But he has one secret passion: he is obsessed with Mexican wrestling, a type of no-holds-barred wrestling. One day, Ignacio puts on a mask, takes the pseudonym Nacho, finds a partner—a skinny vagrant named El Esqueleto—and heads to a local competition in hopes of winning the grand prize of 10,000 pesos, or $200. The couple donates all the money they earn in the ring to their native orphanage. But Nacho also wants to impress a new nun and prove to her that he is a real man.
Comedy actor Black took on a rather unusual appearance, striving to more closely match the “typical Mexican” type, which certainly interested fans. And the story itself generously provided opportunities to satisfy his passion for transformation.
