Film Description
Returning home from Vulcan in an expropriated Klingon spaceship, Kirk and his team prepare for the worst in advance. Although the duty of honor has been fulfilled, and Spock is alive and well with us again, the team has no more reason to rejoice, especially when they begin to remember the wrongdoings along the way.

Disobedience to the order, the hijacked and then self-destructed "Enterprise", sabotaged "Excelsior" - all this makes them make far from rosy assumptions about what the Earth will meet them with.

But the reality turns out to be much darker - a huge spaceship of unknown design approached the Earth, broadcasting requests to the planet in the language of whales, which were completely extinct by the 23rd century. A strange ship has the ability to affect the weather, which arranges continuous showers, thunderstorms, hurricanes and tornadoes on Earth. Analysis of the situation suggests that if, thanks to some miracle, whales appear on Earth again, this will stabilize the situation and resolve the impending conflict.

And who do you think is capable of performing a miracle? Naturally Captain Kirk and his crew! They are ready to travel to the past in order to find whales and deliver them to the future in order to save the entire planet.

Their journey begins ...

4k movies reviews
`Fascinating!` - Spock would say about Leonard Nimoy's creation (his own creation). And the same word breaks out of my mouth when I remember this delightful creation. As a fan of the original episodes, I was filled with wild delight throughout the entire viewing. What a worthy continuation of the traditions of the original series ... It feels like Gene Rodenberry himself had a hand in the film.

The plot, as always in Star Trek, sparkles with originality! Although we have seen at least once in the season of the Original Series a trip to Earth's past, each time it looks completely new. This time, carrying out a mission to save humanity, our heroes find themselves in an era unknown to them before. This is where the fun begins. Fun on a galactic scale: chatting with punks and whales, stealing photons from nuclear reactors, pogroms in the hospital and at the polymer plant! Take, for example, these super-funny phrases that simply had to become winged: `Double dumm-ass on you`, - said, as always by resourceful Kirk,` Excuse me, we`re looking for nuclear vessels in Alamida! Nuclear vesssels! `,` -They like you very much, but they not the hell your whales. -I suppose they told you that? -The hell they did! `And many others that it makes no sense to list.

So our beloved team, without a single superfluous character (like Savek in the previous parts), again unrestrainedly overcomes all difficulties and obstacles, boldly moving towards the salvation of the Earth. After all, there is no situation from which they would not come out! The quick-witted Spock still tries to be perfectly logical, being half human, and is still puzzled by human behavior! Not too witty Chekhov amuses us with his accent. Scotty is arrogant as a professor. McCoy makes fun of Spock and marvels at the "backwardness" of 20th century medicine, because "how can you make holes in a patient's head?" And Uhura, as always, is looking for 'gibberish' in subspace. And of course, a decisive, strong and courageous, now an admiral, demoted in the end to captain, Kirk, without whom there would not have been such a masterpiece.

Why such a title? Isn't that the main idea of the film? Life and prosperity for everyone: people, Vulcans and whales, creatures who were able to destroy the human race. And how stupid the people were to exterminate them!

And of course, true friendship! She is capable of great things. And these guys are real friends to each other and therefore they have nothing to fear. Finally, Spock betrayed his convictions and refused the interests of many in the name of the interests of one, because this one is his friend.

The father, Sarek, is finally proud of his son and his decision to join the starfleet.

Here is such a great movie that left a big smile on my face for several hours.
