At the beginning of the 21st century, almost all of humanity was wiped out by a deadly virus. The survivors were saved by Trevor Goodchild's vaccine, and it was this scientist who founded Bregna, the last city of the human race, surrounded by a high wall. For four centuries, people were born, lived, and died in Bregen, protected from the ravages of nature and ruled by the Goodchild dynasty. But now, this totalitarian utopia is falling apart at the seams. Not all of its inhabitants are happy with the ruling regime, and among the rebels is a girl named Aeon Flux, whose sister was killed on false charges of collaborating with the Goodchilds' enemies. It is Aeon who is given the most important task in the history of the rebel movement. She must kill the next Trevor, who looks exactly like all the previous ones. However, when she meets her sworn enemy face to face, Flax somehow cannot bring herself to carry out the sentence...
