The Old Dark House 4K 1932

The screen adaptation of John Boyton Priestley's novel Caught in the Night, which was Charles Laughton's first film in the USA, was long thought to be lost. The picture was withdrawn from circulation after the release of its 1965 remake and was found in the studio archives by director Curtis Harrington.

In the Welsh countryside during a torrential rainstorm, several soaked travelers find shelter in a gloomy mansion owned by the strange Femme family - atheist Horace and his overly religious sister Rebecca. Even more frightening than the house is the mute and lame servant Morgan.....
