In the 7th century, Arabia was filled with scattered, warring tribes that were constantly fighting one another. During this turbulent period, the Persian emperor Khosrow meets the Arab princess Hind and attempts to make her his concubine. Hind refuses to submit and flees with her father, King Numman, into the boundless and barren desert, where they are pursued by mercenaries led by the ruthless Jalabzin. Father and daughter are forced to place their trust in a mysterious warrior named Hanzala.
